How many times have I ignored those who were meant to guide me? Countless. How many times have I defied the ones there to shape me? Too many. I’ve left communities, places, and spaces that made me feel unwelcome, weighed down by double standards and ego battles. I love who I am becoming—the fearless musician—but man… do you have to lose people to truly find yourself? Yes. Yes, you do. You are aligning with a new path, one that doesn’t favor the sheep but instead the lone wolves.
You will be okay. Seriously. I’m happier now—lonely but not alone. I have some incredible friends by my side, even when it gets tough. I love you all.
