A Perfect Start to an Early Summer Day 🎶🚗

Today was something special.

I got to see my friend Tim Sheehan (Radio Host 99.1 PLR (Previously i95)) play a live acoustic set, and honestly, there’s no better way to kick off the summer season. The show was held at Mine Hill Distillery in Roxbury — a truly unique spot that used to be an old train station, which gave the whole afternoon an even cooler atmosphere. The place was packed with great energy. There were classic cars everywhere from a small car show happening on-site, amazing live music filling the air, and people just enjoying a beautiful day together. Tim played an incredible mix of songs from artists like Tom Petty, Jim Croce, and R.E.M., and hearing those songs acoustically in that setting just felt perfect.

The food and snacks were great too — cheese and crackers, hummus, and plenty of good conversation all around. Sometimes it’s the simple days like this that end up meaning the most.

If you’re ever in Roxbury, definitely check out Mine Hill Distillery. Between the history of the building, the atmosphere, the music, and the people, it’s one of those places that feels genuinely special.

Much love,

J
